Description

Super easy recipe to pull together, day-before, or day-of, and serve with Ruffles (the best) or a cracker of your choice or crusty sourdough bread.

Instructions

  1. Mash down the cream cheese, blend in the sour cream and mix until smooth.

  2. Add clams, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Combine thoroughly and whisk out any lumps.

  3. Transfer to serving bowl. Cover and chill until ready to serve. Serve with heavy ridged potato chips, such as Ruffles, or your favorite dipping cracker or chunks of sourdough bread.

Note

  • Growing up, the cream cheese didn't come whipped. So my mom would always give me a fork and put me in charge of mashing down the cream cheese, by hand, to a smooth and creamy consistency.
  • Save that drained clam juice for adding to your cioppino or for mock abalone.
